Tam Huynh
Biography
Tam is a PhD candidate in the FYSC (Physical Chemistry and Polymer Science) laboratory, which is part of the Sustainable Materials Engineering (SUME) research group within the Department of Materials and Chemistry (MACH) at the Faculty of Engineering, Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
She earned her Master’s degree in Science Education from Kyungpook National University in 2021. Before starting her PhD, she completed a six-month internship at Korea Institute of Industrial Technology. In December 2022, she began her PhD at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in collaboration with VITO.
Her research focuses on the design of lignin acrylate functional materials. This work aligns with the SUME mission through its emphasis on greener chemistry, bio-based materials, and sustainable applications.
