Biography
Parth is a PhD researcher in the Sustainable Materials Engineering group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Belgium. With a background in materials science and engineering, he has expertise in surface engineering and characterisation, with a focus on functional materials, particularly gallium-based liquid metals. His research aims to enable flexible, stretchable electronic devices by studying the surface chemistry of these liquid metals, including their native oxides and interfaces with other components. He links these properties to device performance to improve reliability. Parth completed his master’s degree at TU Delft, where his thesis supported the discovery of new corrosion inhibitors for aerospace alloys by providing an experimental database and evaluation strategies to machine learning research groups.
