Nourhan Abdelrahman

Nourhan started her PhD with SURF group at MACH department in August 2021. Her PhD focuses on finite element modelling of the corrosion of aluminum and the protective effect of adding different inhibitor material. The model used is a multi-ion transport and reaction model (MITReM) and by that it considers Gauss’s law and electroneutrality as well as mass and charge conservation to predict the effect of the inhibitor particles on corrosion inhibition. She is supervised by Professor Herman Terryn and Professor Tom Hauffman.
