Joan Roca Busacker

Joan studied a BSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at UAB (Cerdanyola del Vallès), and a MSc in Applied Materials Science at UB (Barcelona).

He joined the SURF group at VUB as a doctoral student in early 2022. In his PhD, he focuses on the experimental part of the project LifeSBat­­­ in collaboration with IMEC, where he works in the characterization the interfaces of all solid-state batteries, with the goal to design a physics-based experimental/modelling platform for the design of new systems and the prediction of their performance under cycling conditions.
