Hamed Abdolmaleki
Biography
Hamed obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Chemistry from Sharif University of Technology, where his master’s project focused on the development of organic hydrogels for supercapacitor applications. To pursue his PhD, he joined the Electrical Engineering Department at Aarhus University. During his doctoral research, he worked on developing piezoelectric inkjet inks with improved electrical properties for the production of flexible sensors and energy harvesters.
Before starting his PhD, he spent two years as an R&D specialist in the ink and printing industry, where he formulated inks for various printing methods, including offset, screen, flexography, gravure, and inkjet.
He currently serves as a postdoctoral researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, contributing to the European Union’s SHINTO projects. These initiatives aim to increase the technology readiness level (TRL) of self-healing polymers for applications including puncture-proof tires, soft robotics, and 3D printing.
