Eloa Lopes Maia

Eloa joint SURF group in November 2020 as an PhD student in a project that is a collaboration with SCK CEN (Belgian Nuclear Research Centre). The project’s main topic is corrosion initiation in heave liquid metal applied in nuclear reactors. Before coming to SURF she complete hers master’s degree focused in corrosion of welded super duplex stainless steels and she did an internship to study corrosion of high entropy alloys at Ohio State University. Also she worked as researcher associated at IPEN (Nuclear and Energy Research Institute) in Brazil studying corrosion in welded duplex stainless steels and she had some experience as a teaching assistant at the UNIVESP (Virtual University of the State of Sao Paulo).
