Biography
Brijesh Chavda is a doctoral researcher, working at the intersection of functional polymer materials, additive manufacturing, and design engineering. His current research focuses on the processing and additive manufacturing of reversible and self-healing polymer networks for biomedical and adaptive applications.
He obtained his Master of Engineering (Research) in Innovation by Design from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) in 2025. His research investigated the Freeform Liquid 3D Printing (FL3DP) of recyclable, degradable, and self-healing hydrogels, with emphasis on rheology, printability, support-bath development, and material-bath compatibility for soft robotic applications. He presented this work at the International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies (ICMAT 2025) in Singapore.
Prior to his academic research, he worked at Capgemini Engineering on technical illustrations for Airbus Aircraft Maintenance Manuals. His research interests include reversible polymer networks, self-healing and stimuli-responsive materials, 3D/4D printing, rheology, and design for additive manufacturing.
