Brecklyn Groce
Biography
Brecklyn received his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2019 from University of West Florida. He then obtained his PhD in Chemistry at Louisiana State University in 2023 under the guidance of Dr. John Pojman. His PhD research focused on the frontal polymerization of epoxies and vinyl ethers, as well as the application of cationic frontal polymerization to composites, coatings, adhesives, and 3D printing.
He joined Vrije Universiteit Brussel as a postdoctoral researcher in 2024, where he continues his work in frontal polymerization. He is involved in the PolyFront project, in which he investigates fundamental aspects that affect frontal polymerization, such as boundary conditions and resin composition, with the aim of developing computational models to predict and describe the process.
